 Pratibimb
is my personal "photoblog". Pratibimb
means a "reflection" !! Mumbai pictures,
Indian pictures, Indian photography. Images displayed
on this photoblog are what caught my fancy and
I captured with my camera. Digital photography,
Landscape photography, portrait photography, glamour
photography, model photography, travel photography.
Nikon camera and lenses, Image editing software.
I
hope you will enjoy the reflections. I am a "serious
amateur" photographer, and not yet composed
with the intuitive eye of an artist. Hence, even
if a few of my reflections resonate with your
emotions, I think, I should continue clicking
anticipating better and better reflections in
future.
Photography
takes the ordinary and brings out the extraordinary.
The limitations in my photography, are in myself!
Ideally,
with an understanding of natural light, one should
be able to create images as the artist paints
with the brush on the canvas! There is still a
long way to go!

Indian
Music
Music
has always occupied a special place in the heart
of Indians. The range of music in India, extends
from simple melodies, commonly met among tribes,
to what is one of the most developed "gharanas"
of classical music in the world.
One
can describe Indian music as having been stemmed
from the chanting of Vedic hymns. There are references
to various string and wind instruments, as well
as several kinds of drums and cymbals, in the
Vedas.
Bharata
composed Natyashastra sometime between the 2nd
century BC and the 5th century AD. This work has
since then exercised a great influence on the
development of Indian music, dance, and the performing
arts in general.
